Low Carb Tomato Ketchup
Store bought tomato sauce is often loaded with sugars and artificial flavorings. This low carb recipe is the perfect healthy alternative! Rich, tangy and slightly sweet, this tomato ketchup is the perfect accompaniment to meats, for dipping veggies and adding to low carb pasta dishes. Although xylitol has been used in this recipe, feel free to sub for your preferred low carb sweetener and adjust to taste.

Ingredients
- Tomato Puree (½ cup)
- Balsamic Vinegar (1 tbsp)
- Xylitol by Now (3 tsp)
- Ground Cinnamon by Tone's (1 tsp)
- Spices Onion Powder (1 tsp)
- Water (⅓ cup)
- Garlic Powder (½ tsp)
- Celery Salt by Spice Supreme (½ tsp)
- Gourmet Collection Smoked Paprika by Mccormick (½ tsp)
- Spices Cloves Ground (⅛ tsp)
Instructions
- Add the tomato puree and balsamic vinegar to a small saucepan over a gentle heat and stir together to combine.
- Add the garlic powder, onion powder, cinnamon, paprika, celery salt, cloves and xylitol. Stir into the tomato mixture.
- Add the water to the pan, stirring everything together well.
- Bring the mixture to a gentle boil then simmer for 10 minutes until you have a thick tomato sauce. Cool and serve.
