Ingredients

  • Ground Beef (1 pound)
  • Garlic (1 clove)
  • Olive Oil (1 tablespoon)
  • Green Beans (string Beans), Raw (1 cup, cut pieces)
  • Cinnamon, Ground (½ teaspoon)
  • Ginger, Ground (1 teaspoon)
  • Chili Powder (1 teaspoon)
  • Cumin, Ground (1 teaspoon)
  • Ground Coriander (½ x 1 tsp)
  • Cloves, Ground (⅛ teaspoon)
  • Turmeric, Ground (⅛ teaspoon)
  • Tomato, Canned (⅓ cup)
  • Beef Broth, Bouillon Or Consomme, Homemade (¾ cup)
  • Scallions (2 medium - 4 1/8" long)
  • Salt, Sea Salt (¼ teaspoon)
  • Black Pepper (⅛ teaspoon)

Instructions

  1. Heat a tablespoon of olive in a large pan over a medium heat. Add the ground beef and fry until browned all over.
  2. Mince the garlic and add to the pan along with the dried herbs and spices, salt and pepper. Stir well to combine. Continue to cook for a further minute or two.
  3. Add the green beans, stock and tomatoes and simmer for 15-20 minutes until most of the liquid has evaporated.
  4. Finely slice the scallions and scatter over the cooked mince to serve.
