- Ground Beef (1 pound)
- Garlic (1 clove)
- Olive Oil (1 tablespoon)
- Green Beans (string Beans), Raw (1 cup, cut pieces)
- Cinnamon, Ground (½ teaspoon)
- Ginger, Ground (1 teaspoon)
- Chili Powder (1 teaspoon)
- Cumin, Ground (1 teaspoon)
- Ground Coriander (½ x 1 tsp)
- Cloves, Ground (⅛ teaspoon)
- Turmeric, Ground (⅛ teaspoon)
- Tomato, Canned (⅓ cup)
- Beef Broth, Bouillon Or Consomme, Homemade (¾ cup)
- Scallions (2 medium - 4 1/8" long)
- Salt, Sea Salt (¼ teaspoon)
- Black Pepper (⅛ teaspoon)
Instructions
- Heat a tablespoon of olive in a large pan over a medium heat. Add the ground beef and fry until browned all over.
- Mince the garlic and add to the pan along with the dried herbs and spices, salt and pepper. Stir well to combine. Continue to cook for a further minute or two.
- Add the green beans, stock and tomatoes and simmer for 15-20 minutes until most of the liquid has evaporated.
- Finely slice the scallions and scatter over the cooked mince to serve.
